BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis picked up their second win at home this season with a 7-0 victory over Milligan on Tuesday.
Begum Gumussoy,
Miranda Noor,
Lina Ngassi Saqout and
Rhidaim Yang all went 2-0 on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae started the day with victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to pick up the doubles point. Gumussoy and Yang collected the 6-2 win at the No. 2 court and Noor and Saqout followed with a 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.
- Pati Vedia Sanchez recorded the 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles to give the Bobcats the 2-0 advantage. Noor followed with a straight-set win at 6-1, 7-5 over Marta Miralles on the No. 2 court.
- Yang continued the momentum at No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Saqout battled for a three-set victory at No. 4 singles with a 6-2 win in the third set. Anita Ivanova registered a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles.
- Gumussoy closed out the team match with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles as Lees-McRae moved to 2-2 on the season.
