Begum Gumussoy,
Anita Ivanova, and
Rhidaim Yang all picked up victories in their respective singles matches this afternoon, but Lees-McRae women's tennis fell to App State, 4-3, on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- App State earned the first point of the day with a sweep of the doubles matches. Gumussoy and Yang narrowly fell to Brooke Gruber and Peri Tippins, 6-4, at the No. 3 doubles position.
- Gumussoy collected the first point for the Bobcats with a forfeit from the Mountaineers at the No. 6 flight.
- App State clinched the match win with straight-set victories at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 singles. Lina Ngassi Saqout pushed Riley Collins of App State to a first-set tiebreaker, but ultimately fell 7-6 (2), 6-4 at No.3 singles.
- Ivanova earned her first victory of the season with a retirement from App State at No. 5 singles and Yang earned a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles for the Bobcats.
