BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis moved their winning streak to four matches with a 7-0 win over Illinois Springfield on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats collected the doubles point with a sweep of the doubles matches. Anita Ivanova and Pati Vedia Sanchez earned the 7-5 win at the No. 1 court. Begum Gumussoy and Rhidaim Yang tallied the 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles and Lina Ngassi Saqout and Miranda Noor recorded the 6-2 decision at No. 3 doubles.
- Sanchez continued the momentum at No. 1 singles with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Illinois Springfield's Carmen Llopis Fabra. Yang followed with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.
- Saqout and Gumussoy also picked up straight-set wins on courts four and six.
- Noor battled back after dropping the first set, 7-5, and earned the match in three sets, 5-7, 6-1, 7-5 at No. 3 singles. Ivanova followed a similar path with a three-set comeback win at 5-7, 6-1, 6-3.
