HICKORY, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field teams were back in action yesterday at the Southside Power & Fitness Invitational, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Joshua Ehresman set a new school record in the Shot Put and placed second in the event.

MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Ehresman's sixth and final attempt in the Shot Put placed him second in the Men's Shot Put and set a new school record with a throw of 14.76 meters.
- Ehresman recorded a top-ten finish in the Discus with a throw of 37.66 meters. Khan Cline placed 11th with a throw of 34.07m.
- Christian Bargaineer, Aaron Kirby, Zachary Potts, and JD Green collected a runners-up finish in the 4x100 Meter Relay with a time of 42.14.
- Brennen Pierce led the Bobcat men in the 1,500 Meter run with a time of 4:08.44 and placed second. Cameron Adair took 13th with a time of 4:37.90 and Jackson Olson stopped the clock at 4:46.43.
- Green placed fourth in the High Jump with a jump of 1.99 meters.
- Josh Gillis placed fifth in the 800 Meters to lead the Bobcats and Jakob Gerlach took sixth in a time of 2:00.34.
- Bargaineer qualified for the finals in the 100 Meters with a time of 10.86 and was seeded fourth in the preliminary heats.
- Tayo Bankole took 10th in the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.17 meters.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Loran Dillon recorded a second-place finish in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.49 meters on her final attempt.
- Deanna Betzer placed second in the 1,500 Meters with a time of 5:10.17 and Campbell Dille followed in third with a time of 5:11.30. Kaylee Kraver placed seventh with a time of 5:33.79.
- Jocelyn Walker collected a third-place finish in the Pole Vault with a clearance of 2.78 meters.
- Landri Martinka collected a fourth-place in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:01.37.
- Maddie Quinn recorded a fourth-place finish in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:25.09 and Kaitlyn Rowe crossed the line in 12th at 2:54.68.
- Devon Davis took eighth in the Discus with a mark of 34.92 meters and Thailand Smith recorded 10th with a mark of 29.81 meters. Morgan Gray followed in 11th with a throw of 29.18m.
- Maren Hester tallied an eighth-place finish in the High Jump with a clearance of 1.45 meters.
- Gray finished in sixth place in the Shot Put with a mark of 10.99m and Davis placed 11th with a throw of 8.99 meters.
- Eshone Cofield-Jackson took eighth in the 100 Meters with a time of 12.52 in the finals and Symone Taylor placed ninth in a time of 12.54.
