CHARLOTTE/HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field teams were back in action on Friday at the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point and the Johnson C. Smith Invitational in Charlotte.
THE BASICS
MEET: Johnson C. Smith Invitational & VertKlasse Meeting

MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Andrew Belcher and Joshua Ehresman notched new marks in their school records at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational in Charlotte. Belcher elevated his mark in the Discus Throw with a throw of 42.79 meters and Ehresman launched a mark of 14.27 meters at the invitational.
- Christian Bargaineer took third in the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.31 seconds and placed eighth in the 100 Meters, 10.88, to lead the Bobcats. JD Green took 10th in the 100m with a time of 11.00.
- Jakob Gerlach collected a time of 2:02.53 in the 800 Meters and Ben Gribbins followed with a time of 2:04.22.
- Michael Keen captured first in the Hammer Throw with a throw of 37.23 meters and Belcher placed eighth in the Javelin with a mark of 31.03 meters. Khan Cline finished ninth in the Javelin with a mark of 29.54 meters.
- Orrin Elmer collected eighth in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.31 meters and Tayo Bankole also placed eighth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.82m.
- Bargaineer, Green, Aaron Kirby, and Zach Potts recorded a first-place finish in the 4x100 Meter Relay with a time of 41.92 seconds.
- Rien Freeman set a new season-best time in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase at 10:04.43 in High Point. Cameron Adair clocked in a time of 10:45.99 for the Bobcats.
- Max Geckler posted a season-best time in the 5,000 Meters at 15:18.60 to lead Lees-McRae at the VertKlasse Meeting. Brennen Pierce finished in a personal-best time of 15:52.00.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Maddie Quinn pushed her school record in the 1,500 Meters to a new mark with a time of 4:55.11 at the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point University.
- Keagan Osika posted the sixth-best time in the 200 Meters at the JCSU Invitational with a time of 26.07. Eshone Cofield-Jackson notched a top-ten finish with a time of 26.34.
- Landri Martinka took ninth in the 400 Meters with a time of 1:02.73.
- Devon Davis placed fifth in the Discus Throw with a mark of 32.85 meters and Thailand Smith followed in seventh with a throw of 30.00m. Morgan Gray posted ninth place in the event with a mark of 29 meters.
- Gray tallied a first-place finish in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 28.84 meters and eighth in the Javelin with a distance of 22.64m.
- Maren Hester captured third place in the High Jump with a clearance of 1.52 meters and Lora Dillon registered fifth in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.12 meters. Dillon placed second in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.68m.
- Deanna Betzer placed 10th in the 5,000 Meters at High Point with a time of 18:34.35 and Campbell Dille took 14th in the event with a time of 18:53.24. Kaylee Kraver rounded out the Bobcats in the event with a time of 20:17.29.
