WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Lees-McRae men's track & field team completed its two-day meet at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships on Monday afternoon. The Bobcats turned in 11 top-ten performances over the two-day event.
THE BASICS
MEET: Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships
RESULTS: 6th of 13 Teams
LOCATION: JDL Fast Track – Winston-Salem, North Carolina
NOTABLES:
- Rien Freeman, Josh Gillis, Brennen Pierce, and Lodrick Scott started the event with a second-place finish in the Distance Medley with a time of 10:22.81.
- Max Geckler led the Bobcats in the 3,000 Meters with a time of 8:53.82 and placed fourth individually. Isaac Reyna earned fifth with a time of 8:55.45.
- Reyna notched third place in the 5,000 Meters with a time of 15:23.03 and Geckler followed in eighth with a time of 15:35.35.
- JD Green placed third in the High Jump with a mark of 1.98 meters and Scott took fourth in the Triple Jump at 14.06 meters.
- Joshua Ehresman collected sixth place in the Shot Put with a mark of 13.78 meters.
- Gillis earned fourth place in the 800 Meters with a time of 1:57.86.
- Freeman completed the Mile in a time of 4:28.49 for 10th place and Pierce placed 15th in a time of 4:36.54.
