BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis earned its third consecutive home victory to start the season with a 7-0 win over Montreat on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats used set tiebreakers at No. 1 and 2 doubles to earn the doubles point. Pati Vedia Sanchez and Anita Ivanova recorded a 7-6 (9) win at No. 1 doubles. Alexa Mazzei and Miranda Noor earned the 7-6 (3) win at No. 2 doubles.
- Sanchez claimed the 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles and Lina Ngassi Saqout won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
- Noor used a third-set tiebreak for the 6-2, 6-7 (5), 1-0 (10-4) triumph over Montreat's Chiharu Ito.
- Ivanova collected the 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles and Mazzei followed with a 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. Caroline Brothers won by default at No. 6 singles for Lees-McRae.
