BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis was ranked in the initial NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Rankings, announced by the NCAA on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bobcats are currently 15-4 overall and 9-0 in Conference Carolinas matches after defeating Belmont Abbey, 5-2, on Monday afternoon on the C.D. Chesley Tennis Courts. Lees-McRae also clinched at least a share of the league regular season title with Monday's win and can earn the title outright with a win tomorrow against Mount Olive.
Lees-McRae also jumped a spot to No. 47 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II National Team Rankings on Wednesday. The Bobcats are joined in the rankings by fellow Conference Carolinas member Erskine, who is ranked No. 40 in the latest rankings.
Lees-McRae looks to close out Conference Carolinas play with an undefeated mark tomorrow afternoon against Mount Olive in Banner Elk.
