MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Lees-McRae men's track & field completed its three-day meet at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday afternoon.
Rien Freeman took home the individual title in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase and set a new school record in Myrtle Beach.
THE BASICS

RESULTS: 6th of 14 Teams
LOCATION: Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium – Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
NOTABLES:
- Freeman completed the 3,000m Steeplechase with a record-breaking performance of 9:32.20 on Friday and took the top podium spot by 10 seconds.
- Lodrick Scott jumped out a spot in the 400 Meter Hurdles Finals with a time of 56.79. JD Green took sixth in the event with a time of 57.37.
- Josh Gillis placed fourth in the finals of 800 Meters with a time of 1:55.08.
- Isaac Reyna qualified for the 1,500 Meters with a time of 4:04.13 and placed 12th in the finals.
- Max Geckler earned third place in the 10,000 Meters with a time of 31:51.68 and placed sixth in the 5,000 Meters with a time of 15:29.37.
- Joshua Ehresman tallied third in the Shot Put with a throw of 14.68 meters.
- The Bobcats completed the three-day meet with the 4x400 Meter Relay and placed ninth overall. Green, Gillis, Ben Gribbins, and Scott compiled a time of 3:27.66.
- Lees-McRae placed sixth out of 14 teams at the championships with 38 total points. Mount Olive took the overall team title with 193 total points.
