BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae College Head Women's Volleyball Coach Lauren Havill announced the addition of Lauren Xayavong, 2024 alumnus, as the program's graduate assistant.
"I am thrilled to welcome Lauren Xayavong back to Lees-McRae as our graduate assistant," said Havill. "Lauren brings championship experience and a deep commitment to the program. Her leadership helped guide us to a divisional title in 2023, and we're excited for the impact she'll make in this new role."
Xayavong had a historic career for the Bobcat women's volleyball program as she finished her career with the second-most career digs, fourth all-time in career digs per set, fifth all-time in digs in a single season, and first all-time in digs per set in a single season. Xayavong was tabbed to the 2023 Academic All-Conference Carolinas team and earned recognition to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Team.
Xayavong, a Hickory, North Carolina native, graduated from Lees-McRae with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management. She will be pursuing her master's degree in human services.
