BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae College Director of Cycling
Tim Hall announced the signing of Alejandro Castillo to the 2025-26 class for the men's cycling program.
Castillo comes to Banner Elk from San Isidro, Heredia, Costa Rica where he won the National TT Junior Championship and races for Team Colono Construccion Bike Station Kolbi.
"I am a person who likes challenges and going to Lees-McRae brings together two things that are important to me: my studies and the sport I love," said Castillo. "I see myself improving day by day here and seeking my best version in everything I do."
Castillo plans to focus on cross country racing and road cycling for the Bobcat men's cycling program.
