GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae flag football Freshman Linebacker
Mackenzie Walker and Sophomore Wide Receiver
Natalia Hernández de León have been named Conference Carolinas Flag Football Player of the Week after going 2-0 on Saturday.
Walker, a Vashon Island, Washington Native, led the Bobcats on defense with 16 flag pulls and one interception in wins over Barton and Mount Olive. Walker accounted for 11 flag pulls and one interception in the 43-33 league victory over Barton last Saturday.
Hernández de León, a Panama City, Panama native, recorded 16 receptions for 256 yards and four touchdowns in contests against Barton and Mount Olive. Hernández de León leads the Bobcats with 1,124 receiving yards on 71 catches and 22 touchdowns in 13 games played.
The Lees-McRae flag football team concludes regular-season play this afternoon at Ferrum. The Bobcats will face Ferrum at 4 p.m. and face Hollins this evening.
