CLEVELAND, Ga. – The Lees-McRae men's cycling team began its 2026 fall season at Truett McConnell this weekend.
Omar Wilson took home a pair of wins in Cross Country and Short Track Cross Country disciplines.
Christopher Grice joined Wilson with two wins over the weekend with victories in the Dual Slalom and Downhill.

RACE: Truett McConnell Kickoff
LOCATION: Cleveland, Georgia
NOTABLES:
- Wilson started Saturday with an impressive win in the Cross Country and was one of five Bobcats inside the top ten. Gabriel Saenz followed in third and Phillip Naude placed seventh. Ryan Avery and Kaleb Toscano recorded eighth and ninth place finishes. Simon Donner narrowly missed out on a top-ten finish and placed 11th.
- In Dual Slalom, Max Ligman led the Bobcats with second place. Connor Parmelee placed ninth in Dual Slalom. Guillermo Tova took 17th in the Dual Slalom portion.
- On Sunday, Wilson continued his strong start this season with first place. Naude followed in second and Saenz placed fifth. Donner earned a top-ten finish for the Bobcats on Sunday with ninth.
- Grice picked up victories in the Dual Slalom on Saturday and earned the top podium spot on Sunday in Downhill. Ligman turned in third place in the Downhill on Sunday in the 'A' category. Tovar followed in fourth for Lees-McRae. Parmelee rounded out the Bobcats in the top ten with an eighth-place finish.
- Lees-McRae also earned second place in the Team Relay on Sunday.
