BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's cycling completed its home race over the weekend with multiple victories.
Christopher Grice collected wins in Dual Slalom and Downhill while
Omar Wilson won Short Track on Sunday morning.
THE BASICS
RACE: Collegiate MTB Challenge at Lees-McRae
LOCATION: Banner Elk, North Carolina
NOTABLES:
- Wilson started with a second-place finish on Saturday morning in Cross Country. Gabriel Saenz followed in sixth place and Phillip Naude placed 16th in Men's Category 1-2.
- In Dual Slalom, Grice led Lees-McRae with first place. Max Ligman and Guillermo Tovar followed in second and third for the Bobcats. Connor Parmalee placed eighth in the event.
- Naude and Wilson teamed up with Errin Mackridge and Anabel Miller to place first in the Team Relay on Sunday.
- Wilson earned first place in Short Track on Sunday and Saenz followed in seventh place. Naude rounded out the Bobcats in the top ten with an eighth-place finish.
- Grice completed the weekend with first place in Downhill. Ligman followed with a second-place finish.
- Benjamin Tiller earned first place in the Men's Category 2-3 on Saturday morning and Spencer Gibson placed third for the Bobcats.
