BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's volleyball battled Emmanuel this morning on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court, but the Lions picked up the three-set win in Conference Carolinas play.

FINAL SCORE: Emmanuel def. Lees-McRae, 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-23)
LOCATION: McNair & Debi Tornow Court – Banner Elk, North Carolina
RECORDS: Emmanuel (10-6/6-2); Lees-McRae (5-12/5-4)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emmanuel held the 19-16 lead in the first set and used a 4-0 scoring run for the 22-17 lead. The Lions earned the opening set at 25-19.
- Lees-McRae led 9-6 in the second set but Emmanuel rallied back for a 6-0 run and led 11-9. The Lions earned the set at 25-17. Emmanuel used another 6-0 run in the third set to claim the 23-19 lead and won 25-23
- Joy Bateman had a team-high seven kills for the Bobcats. Addi Stables and Peyton Volk-Tuller followed with six kills apiece. Iza Rosin distributed 12 assists this afternoon and Aadyn Polk had 11 assists. Brooke Ashkenase captured 10 digs in three sets.
