2017-18 Season (Freshman) - Canella had an impactful first season in the Green & Gold in 2017-18...The Hickory, North Carolina native appeared in 26 games, averaged 14.1 minutes, 6.3 points, 3.8 rebounds per game as a freshman...Scored 10 points or more seven times, including a pair of 15-point performances at home against Southern Wesleyan and Mount Olive...Posted a season-high nine rebounds in back-to-back road games at Converse and at Limestone in early December...Blocked a season-high four shots in an exhbition game at UNC Greensboro and against eventual conference tournament champion, Barton...After her freshman season, Canella was named to the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll.
