BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's swimming program, which is in its second season of competition, made some history on Wednesday as it was ranked No. 20 in the latest Division II national rankings put out by collegeswimming.com. It marks the first time that the swimming program has been nationally ranked in its history.
"This is a tribute to the hard work the team has done early on," said LMC Head Coach Sean Weddell. "Not every team has swam a meet yet, but still a great start to our season. I am looking forward to seeing out improvements as we progress."
The Bobcats will look to continue this strong start to their season on October 26 when they compete at Greensboro College at 1 p.m.
