JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. –
Christian Nishimura set a new program record in the 200 fly, while also posting a pair of second-place finishes, to pace the Lees-McRae men's swimming team against No. 10-ranked Carson-Newman this afternoon.
THE BASICS
MEN'S RESULTS: #10 Carson-Newman def. Lees-McRae, 199-63

MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Nishimura touched second in the 200 fly (1:52.75), 200 breast (2:05.32) and in the 200 individual medley (1:56.39).
- J.D. McCray finished second in the 200 back (1:56.40) and third in the 500 free (4:57.94) and in the 200 free (1:47.06).
- Cooper Gobble posted a third-place finish in the 100 fly (54.00), while Aaron van Nostrand set new personal bests in the 100 back (57.09) and in the 200 back (2:07.54).
NOTEWORTHY:
- Carson-Newman honored Lees-McRae senior Christian Nishimura prior to the meet.
