MARS HILL, N.C. –
J.D. McCray won a pair of individual events, while
Chase Davis,
Caleb Eidson, and
Thomas Ware won their individual events, to lead the Lees-McRae men's swimming team to a pair of dual meet victories over "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" rival King and Mars Hill this afternoon.
THE BASICS
MEN'S RESULTS: Lees-McRae def. King – 118-70; Lees-McRae def. Mars Hill – 139-38
LOCATION: Mars Hill College – Mars Hill, North Carolina
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- McCray touched first in both the 200 IM (2:03.75) and in the 500 free (5:05.07), while Davis won the 100 back (56.44).
- Eidson and Ware posted victories in the 50 free (21.81) and the 1,000 free (10:28.91) respectively.
- Davis also posted a second-place finish in the 200 free (1:52.77), while Eidson was second in the 100 free (49.26).
- Nathan Higdon and Thomas Savage were second in the 200 IM (2:04.69) and 100 fly (57.06) respectively, while Ware also touched second in the 500 free (5:08.67).
FROM THE COACHES:
- "This was a good meet for us with dominate performance on both sides. Again, the process is to improve each meet this semester. We had some improved swims from our meet yesterday and look for more of the same over the next two weekends.

Lees-McRae will visit Hickory, North Carolina next Saturday, Jan. 22 for a dual meet against Lenoir-Rhyne at 1 p.m.
