JEFFERSON CITY, TENN. – Lees-McRae men's and women's swimming were back in action on Saturday as the Bobcats faced Carson-Newman in a non-conference dual meet.
Tate Abbott paced the women's squad with an individual event victory in 100 Yard Freestyle and
Nathan Higdon,
Josh Wall, and
Thomas Ware all placed second in two individual events for the men's team.

WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Abbott completed her events against Carson-Newman with a first-place finish in the 100 Free after touching the wall in as time of 53.83. Abbott placed third in the 50 Free after a season-best time of 24.42.
- Fanny Courbot earned second place in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:31.57, season best, a personal best of 4:50.16 in the 400 Yard IM.
- Taylor Simmons posted a fourth-place finish in the 500 Free in a time of 5:30.81 and placed third in the 1650 Free after a time of 19:09.10.
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Higdon, Wall, and Ware all placed second twice in their individual events as the Bobcats were downed by Carson-Newman, 135-67, on Saturday afternoon.
- Higdon used a personal-best time of 2:12.36 in the 200 Breaststroke to lead the Bobcats in the event. Higdon also collected second place in the 400 IM after a time of 4:20.05.
- Wall joined his teammate Higdon with two second-place finishes in the 200 Free (1:45.66) and 200 Yard Butterfly (1:57.21) against Carson-Newman.
- Ware recorded second-place finishes in the 500 Free with a personal best of 4:56.88 and a time of 17:35.38 in the 1650 Free.
- Zachary Cameron had a personal best in the 100 Yard Free with a time of 46.98 which placed him second and a season-best time of 21.38 in the 50 Free.
