Brian Sims Jr. won the 400-meter dash with a time that broke the meet record, while
J.D. Green,
Brennen Pierce,
Rien Freeman, and
Christian Bargaineer all posted top-three finishes, to lead the Lees-McRae men's indoor track & field team at the Champion Team Challenge this evening in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Sims Jr. won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.21, which was .31 seconds faster than the previous meet record and currently ranks ninth in the Southeast Region and second in the Conference Carolinas this season.
- Green posted a second-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.99 meters, which ranks third in both the Southeast Region and in the Conference Carolinas so far this season.
- Pierce was also second in the mile run with a time of 4:31.76, while Rien Freeman and Silas Arendash were third (4:34.27) and fifth (4:40.22) respectively.
- Bargaineer posted a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.70, which ranks sixth in the Conference Carolinas so far this season.
- Max Geckler and Ian Kelbert were fourth (9:03.08) and sixth (9:05.66) in the 3,000-meter run respectively.
- Jean Origene was fourth in both the 60-meter dash (7.06) and in the 200-meter dash (23.23), while Bargaineer was fifth in the 60-meter dash (7.08).
- Elias Zajicek and Garrett Ybarra were fifth (1:59.91) and ninth (2:03.93) in the 800-meter run, while Orrin Elmer was fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.86 meters.

The Bobcats will have 10 days off before they compete in Day 1 of the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships on Sunday, Feb. 20.
