Caleb Eidson broke the Lees-McRae school record and garnered All-Conference Carolinas Third Team honors in the 50 free, while the 200-free relay team finished fourth and
Nathan Higdon touched fifth in the 200 IM, to lead the Lees-McRae men's swimming team on Day 2 of the Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships.
THE BASICS
MEN'S RESULTS: 4th of 6 teams (After Day 2)
MEET: Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships
LOCATION: Kingsports Aquatic Center – Kingsport, Tennessee.
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Eidson finished third overall in the 50 free with a time of 20.56 to garner all-conference third-team honors, which also broke the previous Lees-McRae record by .05 seconds that was set in 2019.
- The 200-free relay team of J.D. McCray, Cooper Gobble, Cooper Hoagland, and Eidson swam to a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:26.03, which was .24 seconds off of garnering all-conference honors.
- Higdon touched fifth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.57, while Bandy was eighth (1:58.86).
- McCray finished sixth in the 500 free with a time of 4:41.83, while Thomas Ware and Chase Davis were eighth (4:44.36) and ninth (4:44.73) in the event respectively.
- Gobble and Hoagland were also 12th (22.06) and 15th (22.30) in the 50 free.
