Scouting the Bobcats…The Bobcats closed out the regular season with a 3-11 overall (1-5 Conference Carolinas) record and used a 19-10 win over Emmanuel on April 20 to clinch the No. 6 seed in the postseason tournament. Senior
J.P. Galloway leads the Bobcats and is eighth in the conference with 35 goals and 50 total points (also tallied 15 assists) this season. Sophomore
Ryan Bird tallied 31 goals and eight assists during the regular season, while senior
Antonio Cruz ranked third in the league with 172 saves this season.
Scouting the Crusaders…The Crusaders closed out the season with an 8-8 overall (4-2 Conference Carolinas) record to clinch the No. 3 spot in the postseason tournament. Junior Thomas Cecere ranks third in the league with 46 goals and 61 total points (also tallied 15 assists) to lead the Crusaders. Freshman Hayden Moffat is second on the team with 36 goals and 14 assists this season, while sophomore Joe Amici ranks fourth in the conference with a 13.24 goals/against average this season.
The Rivalry…North Greenville has won the previous eight meetings between the schools, including a 19-8 win over the Bobcats on March 23 in Tigerville.
What's next…The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal round contest will face off against No. 2 Mount Olive at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29 at the Electric Supply Company Field (Barton) in Wilson, North Carolina.
