TIGERVILLE, S.C. –
J.P. Galloway and
Ryan Bird combined for seven goals and two assists, but it was not enough as No. 3 seed North Greenville outscored the visiting No. 6 Lees-McRae men's lacrosse team 14-3 in the second and third quarters to clinch a 26-9 win over the Bobcats in the Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Galloway paced the Bobcats with four goals, an assist, and three ground balls, while Bird tallied three goals, one assist, and four ground balls.
- Jake Emm and Spence Combs also scored for the Bobcats, while Logan Ryan chipped in a team-high three caused turnovers.
- Lees-McRae and North Greenville traded goals over the first eight minutes of action, with the three Bobcat goals going to Bird, Galloway, and Combs, to even the score at 3-3.
- The Crusaders scored 12 of the next 14 goals, over the span of 23 minutes to hold a 15-5 lead at halftime, with the two Lees-McRae goals going to Emm and Galloway.
- Bird and Galloway both scored in the third quarter, but a final North Greenville goal pushed the lead to 22-7 at the final intermission.
- Lees-McRae was held to only two goals in the final stanza to close out the quarterfinal round.
- North Greenville held a 34-16 edge in shots-on-goal and were 2 of 5 on extra-man opportunities, compared to 1 of 4 by the Bobcats.
FOR THE FOES:
- Devin Napoli scored a team-high five goals to pace the Crusaders, while four goalies combined to make seven saves in net for North Greenville.
