GREENWOOD. Ind. – Six Lees-McRae women's soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Averee Andrews,
Taylor Barrineau,
Cami Belin,
Hannah Davies,
Haley Lowman, and
Kat Stiles were all recognized for their performances on the pitch and in the classroom.
Andrews, a senior defender from Raleigh, North Carolina, started in all 17 matches for the Bobcats with one goal and one assist on the year. Andrews will graduate from Lees-McRae with a degree in Wildlife Biology and Wildlife Rehabilitation and plans to take her fifth year at Lees-McRae.
Barrineau, a senior forward from Iron Station, North Carolina, led the Bobcats with six goals scored and 13 points in 17 matches. Barrineau was voted All-Conference Carolinas Third Team this fall and logged 1,184 minutes on the field.
Belin, a Criminal Justice and Psychology major from Clemmons, North Carolina, recorded 1,451 minutes and started in all 17 matches for the Bobcats in 2023. In her career, Belin played in 56 contests with 56 starts and recorded All-Conference Carolinas Third Team honors for the third consecutive year.
Davies, a senior midfielder from Fleet, England, compiled 16 starts in 17 appearances for Lees-McRae this season and recorded 1,026 total minutes on the pitch with five shots on goal. Davies will graduate from Lees-McRae with a degree in Exercise Science and Psychology and plans to play her fifth year in Banner Elk.
Lowman, a junior forward from Connolly Springs, North Carolina, registered one goal and three assists in 16 matches played for the Bobcats in 2023. Lowman, an Exercise Science major, was named to the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll in 2022.
Stiles, a junior defender from Raleigh, North Carolina, led the Bobcats in total minutes this season with 1,494 minutes and added one goal and two assists in 2023. Stiles joins Barrineau and Belin as back-to-back recipients of the CSC Academic All-District® honors.
