Ayden Fraelle and
Kevin Murphy scored two goals apiece in Lees-McRae men's lacrosse season opener at Lincoln Memorial. The Railsplitters earned the 22-7 victory in today's contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Cade Andres collected the first goal of the season for the Bobcats with 11:57 remaining in the first period, but LMU answered with a goal 41 seconds later to even the game. Charlie Taylor recorded his first career goal at the 9:43 mark of the first period to give Lees-McRae the one-goal advantage.
- Lincoln Memorial closed the first quarter on five-goal run and the 13-3 lead at the halftime break.
- The Railsplitters continued to add to their lead in the third with four more goals and earned the 22-7 win on Saturday afternoon.
- Clay Adams joined Andres and Taylor with one goal in the contest for the Bobcats and Ryan Bird tallied an assist and went 1-of-1 at the faceoff.
FOR THE RAILSPLITTERS:
- Gavin Reid led Lincoln Memorial on the day with five goals and Francis O'Hara followed with three. Rhode Conroy, Kevin Jendraik, and Aiden Smith each chipped in two goals each and Haden Berry won 19-of-26 faceoffs on the day.
- Lincoln Memorial forced 30 Bobcat turnovers with 17 via caused turnovers.
