GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has released its Winter Scholar-Athletes of the Year Presented by Hudl on Wednesday with Lees-McRae men's swimming junior
Thomas Ware being named one of eight athletes.
The Scholar-Athlete Awards presented by Hudl are awarded annually to one individual in each Conference Carolinas sponsored sport. The Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners are chosen by the Conference Carolinas Student-Athlete Affairs and Awards Committee.
Ware, a Cleveland, Georgia native, picked up All-Conference Carolinas accolades in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle (Second Team), 1,650 Yard Freestyle (Third Team), and 200 Yard Freestyle (Third team) at the 2024 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships in Kingsport, Tennessee. Ware also set school records in the 1,000-yard Freestyle and 1,650-yard Free during the 2023-24 season.
Ware was also part of the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team with Lees-McRae swimming. The Bobcat swim programs were also named a NCAA Division II Award of Excellence Finalist.
