AUGUSTA, Ga. – Lees-McRae erupted for 13 runs in the 13-0 victory over Augusta in game one before falling to the Jaguars, 6-5, in the second game of the doubleheader.
GAME #1 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Lees-McRae – 13; Augusta – 0 F/5

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Allie Johnston got the Bobcats on the board in the first inning with a two-run home run that scored Hannah Foster on the play.
- Johnston continued in the top of the fourth with a RBI single that plated Morgan Crowe. Lonna Addison singled to center field to Johnston and McKenzie Presson broke the game open with a grand slam to make the score 9-0 in favor of Lees-McRae.
- Lauren Ritchie added to the Bobcat lead with a three-run home run and Addison followed with a solo shot in the fifth for the 13-0 margin.
- Addison earned her fourth win in the circle for Lees-McRae after going five full innings and striking out five in the shutout.
FOR THE JAGUARS:
- Alissa Bolinger suffered the loss in game one for Augusta after allowing nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits and five walks.
- Lauren Barrett, Grace Bridges, Lauren Evens, and Bobbi Poff each had a hit in the contest.
GAME #2 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Augusta – 6; Lees-McRae – 5 F/8
LOCATION: Jaguar Field – Augusta, Georgia
RECORDS: Augusta (11-14), Lees-McRae (5-9)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ritchie launched a home run in the top of the first inning to give Lees-McRae the two-run advantage in the second game. Augusta tied the score at 2-2 with two runs in the bottom of the first.
- The Bobcats answered with a RBI single from Foster in the second and tacked on two more runs in the third after a RBI double from Brooks Eaddy. Presson singled home Ritchie to give Lees-McRae the 5-2 lead.
- Augusta answered with three runs over the fourth and fifth innings. The two sides went to extra innings tied at 5-5.
- Lees-McRae was unable to score in the top half of the eighth inning and August split the doubleheader with a run in the eighth at 6-5.
- Foster compiled three hits in the second game of the twinbill and Ritchie had two RBIs in the game. Destiny Brown added two hits in the fixture.
- Logan Zephir went four complete innings for the Bobcats and surrendered three runs (three earned) on five hits. Addison tallied the loss after allowing the unearned run in the eighth.
FOR THE JAGUARS:
- Bailee Roberts led Augusta in the second game with two hits and two RBIs.
- Ansley Gibson earned the win for the Jaguars after going five innings of relief while allowing only two hits in the appearance.
