BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's volleyball and head coach
Lauren Havill have announced their upcoming schedule for the fall season. The Bobcats will play 10 matches on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court in the regular season.
Lees-McRae opens the season with the Cavalier Classic in Wise, Virginia with West Alabama (Sept. 6), Bluefield State (Sept. 7), and UVA Wise (Sept. 7). The Bobcats continue their road trip the following week to Bluefield, West Virginia in the Big Blue Classic. Lees-McRae faces Erskine (Sept. 13) in non-conference play along with West Virginia Wesleyan (Sept. 13), Shorter (Sept. 14), and Bluefield State (Sept. 14).
The Bobcats welcome Concord to the McNair & Debi Tornow Court on Sept. 18 for their home opener and travel to Milligan for two matches against St. Andrews and Milligan on Sept. 21. The Green and Gold close September with their Conference Carolinas opener on Sept. 25 and head to Georgia to battle against Emmanuel (Sept. 27) and Young Harris (Sept. 28).
In October, Lees-McRae faces "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" opponent King on Oct. 1 and welcomes new league member Shorter to Banner Elk on Oct. 4. The Bobcats travel to Charlotte for non-conference play against Johnson C. Smith on Oct. 8 and play Barton (Oct. 11) and Mount Olive (Oct. 12) on the road. Lees-McRae hosts North Greenville (Oct. 15) and Southern Wesleyan (Oct. 17) inside Williams Gymnasium and ends the month with Chowan (Oct. 19), Converse (Oct. 23), Erskine (Oct. 25), and Carson-Newman (Oct. 26).
The Bobcats round out the regular season with back-to-back matches on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court against UNC Pembroke (Nov. 1) and Francis Marion (Nov. 2). Lees-McRae ends the season with three out of four matches on the road with King (Nov. 6), Belmont Abbey (Nov. 8), North Greenville (Nov. 9), and Converse (Nov. 12).
Lees-McRae opens the season with its Green & Gold scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.
