WINGATE, N.C. –
Cole Morris recorded four goals for the Bobcats, but Lees-McRae men's lacrosse fell 19-5 to No. 5 Wingate on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wingate started the scoring with goals from Joey Moran and Blayze Rodriguez. Morris got the Bobcats on the board at the 6:20 mark of the first quarter.
- The Bulldogs then answered with 11 straight goals at 13-1 in the third quarter. Morris stopped the run with his second goal of the day.
- Wingate took the season opener by a final of 19-5.
- Morris scored four goals on five shots on goal and recorded three ground balls. Adam Ross added the other goal for the Bobcats.
- Garvin Johnson went 3-6 from the faceoff dot and had six ground balls. Eddie Patterson made 12 saves and registered six ground balls in net for Lees-McRae.
FOR THE BULLDOGS:
- Moran led Wingate with six goals on the day. Vinny Butrico recorded a hat trick and two assists for the Bulldogs. Sean Clark joined his teammates with a multi-goal game with two goals.
