BANNER ELK, N.C. – Leah Barringer had a team-high 17 points off the bench, but Lees-McRae women's basketball fell 82-52 to Belmont Abbey on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Belmont Abbey jumped out to a 14-0 in the first 6:30 of the first quarter. Shayne Burton stopped the scoring run with a fastbreak layup at 2:20 mark of the first period.
- Lees-McRae cut the deficit to five points off a three-pointer from Nadiya Hairston, but the Crusaders held the 31-24 advantage into the halftime break.
- Belmont Abbey scored 31 points in the third quarter and earned the regular-season finale by a score of 82-52.
- Barringer led the Bobcats with 17 points on 6-9 from the field and 4-5 from three-point range. Hairston followed with 10 points and Thailand Smith went 4-4 from the floor with eight points and three rebounds.
- Peyton Nation led the Crusaders with a game-high 21 points on 8-12 shooting and 10 boards. Janiah Shular followed with 13 points as five Crusaders scored in double figures on the night.
