TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Taylor Beurrier,
Brittany Gingrich, and
Allie Johnston compiled multi-hit games this afternoon in a Conference Carolinas doubleheader at North Greenville. The Lees-McRae softball team fell to the Trailblazers in both contests.
GAME #1 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: North Greenville – 10; Lees-McRae – 3
LOCATION: Jan McDonald Field – Tigerville, South Carolina
RECORDS: North Greenville (15-8/2-1), Lees-McRae (6-17/0-1)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- NGU registered five runs each in the first innings and led 10-0.
- Gingrich hit a RBI single in the third and Johnston scored on the play. Johnston recorded an RBI single in the fifth and Abby Hatley scored on a throwing error to make the score 10-3 in the favor of the Trailblazers.
- Johnston went 3-4 from the plate with one RBI and one run scored. Beurrier followed with two hits. Morgan Crowe, Gingrich, and Hatley all had one hit apiece in the conference opener.
- Ellie Hale suffered the loss in the circle for the Bobcats after going 1/3 of an inning and allowing four runs (three earned) on one hit and two walks.

FINAL SCORE: North Greenville – 3; Lees-McRae – 1
LOCATION: Jan McDonald Field – Tigerville, South Carolina
RECORDS: North Greenville (16-8/3-1), Lees-McRae (6-18/0-2)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the second game of the day, Gingrich collected four hits for Lees-McRae. Beurrier followed with two hits in four at-bats.
- North Greenville took the lead with three runs over the second and third innings.
- Gingrich got the Bobcats on the board with an RBI single in the fifth.
- Hayley Lawing was dealt the loss in the circle after throwing six innings and allowing three runs (three earned) on 10 hits.
