BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's lacrosse dropped a close 15-14 Conference Carolinas contest to Young Harris on Saturday.
Cole Morris matched a game-high five goals on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Morris and Kaleb Parkhurst scored the first two goals of the day with 13:29 to play in the first quarter. The Bobcats continued their strong start with three consecutive goals at 7-2. Lees-McRae led 8-4 off a goal from Adam Ross.
- The Bobcats continued the momentum in the second period with a 3-0 scoring run to lead 11-5. Young Harris cut the deficit to three at the 3:02 mark of the first half.
- The Mountain Lions gained the lead at 12-11 and led 13-11 after a goal from David Traywick.
- Lees-McRae battled back with back-to-back goals from Morris and Ross. YHC took the one-goal lead with a marker from Indiana Crawford, but Mark Henderson answered with 8:27 left to play at 14-14.
- Hunter Stagg recorded the game-winning goal at the 4:15 mark of the fourth quarter.
- Morris led the Bobcats with five goals and six points total. Henderson followed with two goals and one assist. Spence Combs tallied two goals and two assists. Ross collected two goals and two assists for the Bobcats on the day.
