NEWBERRY, S.C – Lees-McRae men's lacrosse continued its season on the road this afternoon at Newberry. Newberry defeated the Bobcats, 23-5, on Setzler Field.
Cayden Onagi recorded two goals for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Newberry scored the first three goals of today's contest before Zack Gignac and Cole Cameron answered with back-to-back goals from Lees-McRae. Newberry led 4-2 at the end of the first quarter.
- The Wolves recorded six goals in the second quarter and led 10-2 at the end of the first half.
- Cole Morris tallied the third goal of the day for Lees-McRae with 8:56 remaining in the third quarter. Onagi registered two goals for the Bobcats in the third, but Newberry earned the 23-5 win over the Bobcats on Monday afternoon.
- Morris, Cameron, and Gignac added one goal each in today's contest. Bennett Gibbons went 9-12 from the face-off and collected four ground balls.
