BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Lees-McRae flag football returned to the field today and went 1-1 with a Conference Carolinas win over King, 67-6. The Bobcats fell to Wingate, 30-19, in the second of two games.
GAME #1 BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Makenzie Hicks threw for 245 passing yards and five passing touchdowns in the 67-6 win over King today.
- Natalia Hernández de León hauled in four receptions for one touchdown. Tami Chatwood had three receptions, 82 yards, and two touchdowns. Kennedy Vannoy recorded 77 receiving yards on seven catches and two touchdowns. Ashley Alvarado had a team-high eight receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown.
- King found the end zone in the first quarter for the 6-0 lead, but the Bobcats bounced back and scored 67 unanswered for the 67-6 win over the Tornado.
- Mackenzie Walker registered 11 total tackles, one interception, and three pass break ups. Kamora Brown followed with 10 total tackles and one pass break up.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hicks continued her strong start as quarterback for the Bobcats with 270 passing yards and three touchdowns. Hernández de León led the Bobcats with a game-high 10 receptions for 167 yards and one touchdown. Alvarado and Vannoy hauled in one receiving touchdown each for Lees-McRae.
