BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae flag football sophomore Quarterback
Makenzie Hicks was named the Conference Carolinas Flag Football Offensive Player of the Week after the Bobcats went 2-1 with wins over Mars Hill and Mount St. Mary's.
Hicks, a Forsyth, Georgia native, accounted for 742 passing yards and 15 touchdowns in three contests last week. Hicks went 28-36 passing for 323 yards and nine touchdowns in the 73-6 win over Mars Hill. She completed 21-35 for 213 yards and five touchdowns in the 42-0 win over The Mount.
In 13 games this season, Hicks is 244-429 passing with 2,680 passing yards and 44 touchdowns. She averages 206.2 passing yards per game.
The Lees-McRae flag football team hosts Barton and Mount Olive on Saturday, April 4 on Tate Field starting at 1 p.m.
