TIGERVILLE, S.C. — Cayden Onagi delivered the game-winning goal in the overtime period as Lees-McRae men's lacrosse defeated North Greenville, 10-9, for the first time in program history on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Onagi earned the first goal of the day for Lees-McRae at the 12:12 mark of the first quarter. The Bobcats scored four straight goals for the 4-1 and led 4-2 at the end of the first 15 minutes.
- Carter Whissell regained the advantage for the Bobcats in the second quarter and Cole Morris added a goal for the 6-4 lead at the halftime break.
- Mark Henderson extended the Bobcat lead on a man-up goal to start the second half and Lees-McRae held the 7-5 margin heading into the final 15 minutes of regulation.
- Morris moved the margin to three goals with an unassisted goal at the 13:41 mark of the fourth quarter. NGU answered with four consecutive goals and held the 9-8 lead with 5:29 left in regulation.
- Morris knotted the score at nine goals with a tally at the 4:57 mark of the fourth quarter. Alex Epple made two stops in the final minute to send the game to overtime.
- Bennett Gibbons earned the faceoff win in the overtime period and Onagi buried the game-winning goal 42 seconds into the overtime period for the 10-9 victory over North Greenville.
- Epple made a season-high 20 saves in goal for the Bobcats and held North Greenville to nine goals in the contest.
- Morris and Onagi led the Bobcats with three goals apiece. Onagi registered six points on three goals and three assists.
- Connor Costigan forced four turnovers on the defensive end and collected three ground balls. Gibbons went 11-16 from the faceoff with eight ground balls in today's win.
- With today's win, Lees-McRae men's lacrosse broke the single-season record the most wins in program history with six.
