TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Jorden Clark,
Haylea Huffines, and
Maycee Tickle collected three hits today, but the Lees-McRae softball team fell to North Greenville in two games in a Conference Carolinas doubleheader.
GAME #1 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: North Greenville – 6, Lees-McRae – 3

RECORDS: North Greenville (17-10/8-1); Lees-McRae (7-13/1-5)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brooks Eaddy recorded an RBI double in the second inning as Tickle scored on the play for the first run of the game for Lees-McRae.
- North Greenville took the 4-1 lead in the bottom of third with three runs.
- The Bobcats tallied two runs in the fifth inning after an RBI single from Avery Walston and a bases-loaded walk from Clark.
- The Trailblazers secured the 6-3 win in seven innings after two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth. Alyssa Prather drew a two-out walk in the seventh inning, but Lees-McRae fell to NGU in the 6-3 loss.
- Eaddy and Tickle collected multi-hit performances in the first game of the doubleheader. Tickle led the Bobcats with three hits, two runs scored, and one walk. Eaddy followed with two hits and one RBI.
- Ellie Hale suffered the loss in the circle for Lees-McRae after allowing four runs (four earned) on six hits in two and two-thirds innings pitched.
GAME #2 BASICS

RECORDS: North Greenville (18-10/9-1); Lees-McRae (7-14/1-6)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Taylor Beurrier led off the second game with a triple to right center and scored on an RBI single from Tickle.
- North Greenville gained the lead with a 5-1 lead after three innings.
- Clark scored Huffines and Avery Walston in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to 5-3.
- In the sixth, Ashleigh Drake recorded an RBI double that scored Huffines and Clark hit another RBI double as Lees-McRae trailed by one. Haven Helton tied the contest at six runs with an RBI single. Beurrier gave the Bobcats the 7-6 lead after scoring on a wild pitch.
- Lees-McRae pushed ahead in the eighth inning with an RBI double from Huffines. Clark registered a sacrifice fly and Huffines scored on the play for the 9-7 advantage.
- NGU earned the second game with three runs in the bottom of the eighth and broke the 8-8 tie with a sacrifice fly from Lexie Metcalf.
- Hale was dealt the loss after going four and one-third innings of relief for the Bobcats.
- Clark and Huffines led the Bobcats with three hits apiece. Clark tallied four RBIs in three at-bats in the contest. Beurrier and Walston followed with two hits and two runs scored in the game.
