BANNER ELK, N.C. — Cayden Onagi led the Lees-McRae men's lacrosse team to a 27-9 Conference Carolinas win against Emmanuel on Senior Night. Onagi finished the evening with seven goals and three assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats opened the game with the first six goals. Onagi started the game with two consecutive goals and Cole Morris followed with three markers. Lees-McRae held the 11-3 win at the end of the first 15 minutes.
- Lees-McRae pushed its lead to 11 goals at the end of the first half after another goal from Morris.
- Onagi opened the third quarter with a man-up goal at the 12:25 mark and the Bobcats ran away with the 27-9 win over Emmanuel in the regular-season finale.
- Morris followed Onagi with six goals and four ground balls. Zach Basisty recorded four goals and one assist. Adam Ross had four goals and two assists in the win. Carter Whissell accumulated two goals and five assists for a multi-point performance.
- Kyler Donahue went 18-25 from faceoff this evening and picked up seven ground balls. Bennett Gibbons collected nine faceoff wins and seven ground balls.
- Alex Epple earned his 10th win of the season and stopped 15 saves in the contest.
- Lees-McRae continues to set the standard this season and will earn a favorable ranking heading into the postseason. The Bobcats set the single-season record for wins in program history earlier this season and continue to extend the mark in 2026.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae finishes the regular season with the most wins in school history with 10 and is currently ranked second in the Conference Carolinas standings at 7-1.
