BANNER ELK, N.C. – For the first time in program history, Lees-McRae men's lacrosse is receiving votes in the 2026 Lacrosse Division II Men's Top 20 rankings. The Bobcats finished the historic regular season at 10-5 overall and 7-1 in Conference Carolinas play.
Under the leadership of Head Men's Lacrosse Coach John Grant, Jr., Lees-McRae recorded the most wins in a single season and earned a spot in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Championship Semifinals.
Cayden Onagi, Senior from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, leads Division II in points per game with 6.92 and currently ranks third in goals per game and assists per game. Alex Epple has the 12th best save percentage in the nation at 58.1% and 14th in saves per game with 12.87. Connor Costigan registered the fourth-best caused turnovers per game at 3.07 per game.
Lees-McRae men's lacrosse is the second seed in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Championship Semifinals and will face the winner of No. 3 North Greenville/ No. 6 Young Harris on Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in Young Harris, Georgia.
