BANNER ELK, N.C. – After starting the season with wins over Chowan and Virginia State, the Lees-McRae men's soccer is ranked fifth in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Southeast regional rankings released on Tuesday.
The Bobcats picked up two wins at the Michael Shope Memorial Tournament hosted by Chowan University on Thursday and Saturday. Lees-McRae started the season with a 3-2 win over Chowan and turned in a 2-0 shutout performance against Virginia State on Saturday afternoon.
Lees-McRae begins Conference Carolinas play against divisional opponent Belmont Abbey on Saturday, September 5th at 3:30 p.m. on Tate Field.
