GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae men's soccer Senior goalkeeper Jonathan Kienle was named the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Bobcats to a 1-0-1 week.
Kienle, a Heidenheim, Germany native, collected five saves in a 1-1 draw against Converse in Conference Carolinas and then earned a shutout in a 1-0 win over Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday night.
Kienle holds the top spot among Conference Carolinas goalkeepers with a 0.60 goals against average and a 84.2% save percentage in five matches played. Kienle has three shutouts this season.
Lees-McRae men's soccer returns to Conference Carolinas play tomorrow evening when the Bobcats host North Greenville on Tate Field at 7 p.m.
