BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's soccer moved up to No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II National Rankings on Tuesday afternoon. The Bobcats are also ranked second in the United Soccer Coaches Southeast rankings.
Lees-McRae continued its undefeated start to the season with 1-0 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday night and picked up a 1-1 draw at Converse on September 8.
In the regional rankings, the Bobcats stayed at No. 2 with North Georgia taking the spot with an overall record of 5-0-2. Francis Marion and Young Harris join Lees-McRae in the regional rankings at sixth and seventh, respectively.
Lees-McRae faces North Greenville this evening on Tate Field at 7 p.m. in Conference Carolinas play.
