CENTRAL, S.C. – Brian Sims Jr. won the 400-meter dash with the second-fastest time in the NCAA Division II so far this outdoor season, while
Christian Bargaineer broke the school's outdoor record for the triple jump, to pace the Lees-McRae men's outdoor track & field team at the large non-scored Susan Rouse Invitational this afternoon.

NOTABLES:
- Sims Jr. won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.23, which ranks him second in the NCAA Division II this season so far.
- Bargaineer broke the school record with a distance of 14.46 meters in the triple jump, which ranks him second in the NCAA Division II so far this outdoor season. His mark broke the old school record by .25 meters
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Christopher Lomax, Jeff Nickerson, Sims Jr., and Garrett Ybarra finished third with a time of 3:30.64.
- Silas Arendash and Cooper Abernathy both posted fourth-place finishes in the 1500-meter run (4:08.44) and the javelin throw (44.40 meters) respectively, while Bargaineer also crossed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (15.66).
- Lomax and Ybarra crossed sixth (1:59.84) and 10th (2:02.13) in the 800-meter run respectively.
- Elias Zajicek posted a seventh-place finish in the 3,000-meter run (9:40.61), while both Holmes Jr. and Cam Donovan finished seventh in the high jump (1.70 meters).
- Eatmon also finished seventh in the 400-meter hurdles (1:01.27).
- Tristin Bertie crossed 11th in the stacked 5,000-meter run with a new personal best of 15:29.63.
