NEWBERRY, S.C. –
Tyler Flannelly and
Tyler Finley both tallied two goals and an assist, while
Spence Combs and
Garrett Gulley scored their first collegiate goals, but it was not enough as nationally-ranked No. 19 Newberry outscored the visiting Bobcats 15-0 in the first half en route to clinching a 22-7 win in the non-conference match this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Flannelly also added a caused turnover and two ground balls, while Finley chipped in three ground balls.
- Combs tallied two goals and a ground ball, with Gulley adding a caused turnover and two ground balls.
- Jake Emm also finished with an assist.
- Newberry scored just 38 seconds into the first quarter and held the momentum throughout the entire first 30 minutes of action to hold a 15-0 lead at the halftime whistle.
- Combs opened the Bobcats scoring just 40 seconds into the second half as he scored off an assist by Finley.
- Flannelly tallied the second Lees-McRae goal off an assist by Jake Emm to trim the deficit to 18-2 at the final intermission.
- Finley, Flannelly, and Gulley all scored in the fourth stanza, but it was not enough as Newberry clinched the non-conference win.
- Newberry held a 33-16 edge in shots-on-goal and won 20 of the 31 face-offs.
