MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. –
Tyler Finley,
Jake Emm, and
Spence Combs all scored two goals, while
Tyler Flannelly chipped in a team-high two assists, but it was not enough as host Mount Olive outscored the visiting Bobcats 16-4 in the final three quarters en route to clinching a 17-7 win in the Conference Carolinas contest this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Finley pace the Bobcats with three points off two goals an an assist, while Emm and Combs chipped in two goals each.
- Ryan Bird added a goal and an assist, with Flannelly tallying two assists and Logan Ryan finishing with a team-high four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Eli Padowicz also added two caused turnovers.
- After a scoreless opening 10 minutes, Lees-McRae opened the scoring as Combs scored a man-up goal with 4:44 left in the first quarter.
- After Mount Olive evened the score at 1-1, Bird and Finley both scored in the final three minutes to give the Bobcats a 3-1 lead at the first intermission.
- The Trojans outscored Lees-McRae 7-1 in the second stanza, with the lone Bobcat goal going to Finley, to take an 8-4 halftime lead.
- After Mount Olive extended the lead to 12-4 in the opening minutes of the second half, Emm scored off an assist by Finley and Combs scored unassisted to trim the deficit to 13-6 at the final intermission.
- Emm scored his final goal in the fourth quarter, but the Trojans tallied four fourth-quarter goals to clinch the conference win.
- Antonio Cruz made seven saves in net for the Bobcats.
- Mount Olive held a 24-14 edge in shots-on-goal and won 22 of 26 total faceoffs.
- Lees-McRae went 1 for 3 on the extra-man opportunities in the contest.
FOR THE FOES:
- Aidan Lalonde scored three goals to pace the Trojans, while Andrew Avarello and Spencer Erwin combined to make seven saves in net for Mount Olive.
