Tyler Flannelly scored all three of his goals in the second half as Lees-McRae men's lacrosse fell to Montevallo 17-10 on Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Flannelly also collected two ground balls and caused three turnovers in today's contest in addition to his hat trick. Ryan Bird and Kevin Murphy scored two goals apiece and Bird assisted on two goals on the day.
- Montevallo started the afternoon with three goals before K. Murphy got the Bobcats on the board with 5:14 remaining in the first quarter. The Falcons tallied eight unanswered goals to end the first half with the 11-1 lead.
- Flannelly and K. Murphy scored back-to-back goals for the Bobcats to cut the deficit to eight, but Montevallo rallied in the third to push their lead back to ten goals at 15-5.
- In the fourth period, Flannelly opened with another goal and Bird followed with his first goal of the day. The Falcons recorded the final marker of the game to grab the final at 17-10.
- Cade Andres, Ayden Fraelle, and Gage Farris added goals to their totals in the contest also for the Bobcats.
- Liam Murphy had 12 saves in net for Lees-McRae and picked up five ground balls in the loss. Kaleb Simpson had 13 face-off wins and recorded five ground ball pickups.
FOR THE FALCONS:
- Trevayne Hunter netted a hat trick for Montevallo and added three ground balls in the game. Jackson Klewchuk, Zach Reed, Connor Frederick, and Cade Chalut all registered two goals in today's contest.
- Alex Egorshin earned the win in goal for the Falcons with five saves in the first half of action.

Lees-McRae men's lacrosse hosts their final non-conference opponent on Friday, March 10 with Lewis. The contest is slated for an 11:00 a.m. start on Tate Field.
