MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's lacrosse opened Conference Carolinas on Saturday afternoon at Mount Olive, but the Trojans picked up the 21-7 win on their home field.
Spence Combs had four goals to lead the Bobcats on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- UMO jumped out to 4-0 lead before Tyler Flannelly scored his 12th goal of the season with 4:26 left in the first quarter. The Trojans ended the quarter with three straight goals to lead 7-1.
- Mount Olive tallied four more goals in the second quarter and earned the 21-7 win in their Conference Carolinas opener.
- Combs led the Bobcats with four goals and recorded one caused turnover. Ryan Bird, Jones Hobgood, and Flannelly all scored for Lees-McRae in the contest.
- Eddie Patterson made 13 saves in goal for Lees-McRae and Hobgood had six ground balls and three caused turnovers in the game.
FOR THE TROJANS:
- Aidan Lalonde led Mount Olive with five goals on the day. Matthew Ateshian and Benjamin Vanderkley had hat tricks on the afternoon.
