Tyler Flannelly and
Logan Ryan recorded two goals each in today's contest at Belmont Abbey, but Lees-McRae men's lacrosse fell to Crusaders, 24-9, on Wednesday in Belmont.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Spence Combs got the Bobcats on the board first after Flannelly intercepted a Belmont Abbey pass and Lees-McRae held the one-goal advantage at the 13:59 mark of the first quarter. The Crusaders scored the next nine goals to take the 9-1 lead.
- Ryan and Ryan Bird registered back-to-back goals in the second quarter, but Belmont Abbey went into the halftime break up 11-4.
- Eddie Patterson started the scoring out of the break with a coast-to-coast goal with 13:16 remaining in the third. Belmont Abbey answered with nine consecutive goals and took the 24-9 win on their home field.
- In addition to his goal, Patterson tied the school record in saves with 26 on the day.
- Valentino Cortes and Jones Hobgood joined Bird, Combs, Flannelly, and Patterson in the scoring column for the Bobcats. Ryan had four ground balls in the contest and both Patterson and Flannelly tallied three caused turnovers.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Harry Maloney guided Belmont Abbey with four goals and two assists on the day. Tre Childers had three goals in the contest and five Crusaders tallied two goals each in the win.
- Caleb Mulcahy went 25-27 from the face-off circle and Angus Snow had seven saves in the game.

Lees-McRae returns to Tate Field on Saturday, March 30 as the Bobcats host Chowan at 12 p.m.
