Mark Henderson recorded a hat trick and two assists, but Lees-McRae men's lacrosse fell to Mount Olive, 19-9, in its Conference Carolinas opener on Tate Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mount Olive started the game on a 7-0 scoring run over 15:36 of game play. Garvin Johnson got the Bobcats on the board with a goal the 13:42 mark of the second quarter.
- Johnson notched his second goal of the day with 3:42 left in the first half. UMO held the 9-2 advantage at the end of the first half.
- Henderson collected three consecutive goals in the third quarter as Lees-McRae cut the deficit to 11-5. UMO answered with three straight goals and earned the 19-9 win on Tate Field.
- Johnson and Cole Morris joined Henderson with multi-goal games on the afternoon. Spence Combs and Adam Ross added markers for the Bobcats in the contest.
- Cam Domanowski picked up six ground balls for Lees-McRae and Maddox Beason had three caused turnovers in the game.
- Bubba Bowen and Jack Lewis had four goals apiece for the Trojans. Benjamin Vanderkley had three goals and three assists for Mount Olive.
